Midterm season is kicking off, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. In March, primaries are taking place in IL and MI. In May, 11 states—AL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, NE, OH, OR, PA, WV—all have primaries, and NC and TX have primary runoffs. Meanwhile, the SAVE America Act, designed to severely limit voting in the 2026 midterms, has passed the House, though it’s unlikely to pass the Senate’s 60-vote threshold. Now what?
No War with Iran
In the early hours of Saturday, the US and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran, the conclusion of weeks of saber-rattling. This also marks yet another escalation in Trump’s ever-growing comfort in turning to force—at home and abroad—to get his way.
