Midterm season is kicking off, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. In March, primaries are taking place in IL and MI. In May, 11 states—AL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, NE, OH, OR, PA, WV—all have primaries, and NC and TX have primary runoffs. The Trump administration is floating the unconstitutional idea of declaring a national emergency and requiring all Americans to re-register to vote in a nationalized November election. Meanwhile, the SAVE America Act, designed to severely limit voting in the 2026 midterms, has passed the House, though it’s unlikely to pass the Senate’s 60-vote threshold. Now what?
