That is more than any other president in history has had confirmed in his first year, and those judges will hold their seats until they die or retire. On Monday, Trump reversed long-standing U.S. foreign policy and moved our embassy to Jerusalem, which is contested in the 70-year Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Meanwhile in Gaza, reacting to Palestinian protests and attempts to cross the fence into Israel, the Israel Defense Forces fired live ammunition into the crowds, killing 58 people and wounding thousands, including 17 marked medical personnel.
