Shutting Down the Shutdown

The federal government has been shut down since December 22, the longestfederal shutdown in history. The federal government still has money, but without a budget that says how to allocate that money, it can’t operate. Trump refuses to sign any federal budget that does not include funding for a border wall, and he has made very clear that he is willing to shut the government down until he gets what he wants. Hundreds of thousands of federal employees are now missing paychecks, national parks are getting trashed, and the economy is taking hits. Even beer is not safe!
