With #PrideMonth coming to a close, and most of the celebrations, protests, and parties concluded, we don’t want to miss the chance to talk about LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer, and Intersex) rights. Today we’ll focus on recent state and national-level actions that restrict the rights, and endanger the safety, of trans* people.
*Why do we write trans with an asterisk? You might notice some of the sites listed below use the asterisk and some don’t. As with any group finding its public voice, terminology in the trans* community is in flux. So, if you are in doubt about terminology, just ask a friend or the Internet.
