Net neutrality is a fairly basic idea—that everyone should have equal access to the internet, and that internet providers should not be able to dictate which content gets to your devices faster. So it should be just as easy (and fast) to check youth sports scores as it is to read about the dangers of youth tackle football. However, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is working to roll back net neutrality, which would allow internet service providers to legally prioritize content and services they own over those they don’t, throttle speeds, and even block sites.
