Is your rent too damn high? If so, you’re not alone—there is no state in the U.S. where a full-time minimum-wage worker can afford a two-bedroom apartment, and even if you earn more than that, many housing markets look downright hostile. All too often, we treat this problem as personal rather than systemic, leading us to de-prioritize affordable housing in our politics.
